Hello lovelies, well Halloween is OVER and I'm still posting! Yup, it's been a crazy busy time for me and I apologize for being soooo late.
I have had my Halloween Party - it was fantastic fun and everyone looked so good dressed up in their costumes.
So along with what crafty design I have created for this week, I thought I'd show a few fun photos of the amazing day.
I was fortunate to find the perfect bottle for my special 'potion drink' for the party.....I got these Raspberry flavoured fizzies from Woolworths Supermarket (4 packs). There was no label to peel off the main body of the bottle so it was super easy to just cut out the Wicked words from the Wicked Dies in Basic Black and glue them onto the bottle (before I chilled in the fridge.)
I was able to make these in advance and have ready for the party.
Here they are in action on the luncheon table, ready to accompany the Halloween feast.
There was also a spider from the same die set that I stuck onto the straw, but in all the busy excitement, I forgot to take a photo of that.
My front door was looking spookishly inviting with the hanging witches hats, and menacing signs.
Here are some of my special guests arriving...Mrs Michelle S, Madi, Kelly & you can just see my mum in the very background.
Beautiful ladies ready for class...
They look calm and ready to start, but I assure you it did take a while to calm this wonderful coven of friends down....everyone was so excited, I loved it!!
There was a prize for the best dressed...and guess who won? This magnificent lady, my lovely friend Emily in the purple. But I tell you, it was a close and hard choice as everyone looked magical.
I guess I should also show you what we made during the class....well funny enough, we made normal, happy sweet birthday cards! Why? Because here in Australia we may celebrate Halloween more than we use to, but we don't often give Halloween cards.
Maybe that will change one day, but I know my ladies were happy with their card stash.
Along with the birthday cards, we did make a coffin. Details about this are in my first Halloween blog.
The first card was one I designed using the Very Versailles Stamp ...blog here
The second card was a fun quick one
I used the super cute We'll Walrus Be Friends Cling Stamp Set - the images were cut out, coloured with Basic Grey Blends and the background was stamped with Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' Pad using the Artisan Textures Cling-Mount Stamp Set. This is a great set to use when you want to achieve a painted effect for a background but don't have a lot of time to allow it to dry.
This card was CASED from the Paper Pixie using the Butterfly Wishes and Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin' Pad. Very quick and effective monochromatic card.
I will now leave you with a few teasers of what went on at the Feast after we finished our cards at my Halloween Party....
Who is this mystery man in my dining room and what is he serving to my guests? Has he really come to serve us our feast, or is he here to find his own feast?
And who is this goually creature, what spooky reason does he have doing in my dining room?
.....am I really smoking? Gasp ....shock! Or am I eating it? Grosse.
Stay tuned my wicked friends to find out more and the shocking truth of went on at The Maples Halloween Luncheon Feast.
Thanks for visiting, and I dare you to visit me again very soon to find out the true story of what went on at The Maples on Halloween.
Loves & hugs,
Sharni. x
