12 Weeks of Halloween - Week 8

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all feeling well? Living in the Southern Hemisphere means our seasons are 'upside down!' compared to the Northern Hemisphere, this makes celebrating Halloween here in Australia, a little different. There is no eerie feel of the cooler and darker Autumn days, no pumpkins growing in abundance, and our trees are changing - but growing fresh bright green leaves, not dropping crunchy dried up leaves that blow around the yard.

The birds are happily chirping in the early morning sunshine and all the blossoms are coming out on the trees. It's Spring!

So, my friends, it's a little hard to feel as 'spooky' here when everything is so bright, fresh, new and happy! But I'm going to try. (he he)

Trying to make things look and feel spooky during our Spring isn't made any easier when I decide to use Pink as one of my colours on my colour palette for Halloween this year?!

Anyway, that's what I'm doing, and I'm having a ball!

Here I have made a little treat bag full of the prettiest pink bubble gum balls... ( acquired taste, and I haven't had bubble gum since I was a young tacker, but they were pink....and pretty.)

I have used the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle for this project - the Wicked Die and the two stamps - cobweb and spider. I placed the lollies into one of the Cellophane Bags that I use to protect my cards, trimmed the excess off the top and using double sided tape attached a header created from Blushing Bride A4 Cardstock ( because this matched the Bubble GumBalls of course! ) and added a slightly smaller piece of Monster Bash DSP over the top.

The Die cut word Wicked was cut out from Terracotta Tile A4 Cardstock. The spider and cobweb were stamped with Basic Grey Ink. I fussy cut the spider and stuck him down with a dimensional.

I have to say this was a quick and easy project this week.

I am also going to say to my ladies who are coming to my Halloween Card Class Party, that your treat bags will actually contain more appealing tasting Orange Jaffers, so don't panic! LOL. x

That is all I have for you today. I want to thank you for visiting, and wish you a wonderful day!

loves and hugs,

Sharni. x
