A little Spooky Fun - Halloween Fold Out Mini Album

Hello lovelies,

who likes to have a bit of fun around Halloween? I certainly do, even though it's not as popular in Australia, I still do enjoy celebrating it.

Yesterday was the FAB Insta Hop Team's hop on Instagram, our theme was your favorite Halloween Movie.

I actually have quite a few favourite Halloween Movies, how ever, I found it a little difficult to come up with a card or project that I felt expressed the theme (with my current Halloween Stamp Bundles).

Then, I thought about the movies Pet Cemetery... it's not a favourite of mine, but I do have the right stamps & dies.

So sit back ,relax and enjoy the show! I have created a Mini Album that folds out with 4 double sided pages and all the extra fold-outs inside.

I have a You Tube video to watch on what the album looks like and how all the interactive pages work, as well as how I made the album basics. (This is not a full tutorial).

The main star of the show was the Bag of Bones Bundle. This set has a lot of stamps & great dies to use.

You have seen the front cover, this is on the inside of that - lets call it page 2. The fabulous tomb stones are from Them Bones Designer Series Paper 12 x 12".

There is also some dies that cut out a tomb stone, fence & grass.

The skeleton & bird have been embossed with White Embossing Powder & die cut. The skeleton has be mounted onto a pop-up mechanism so he 'pops out' at you when you open the little flap. I did place a magnet inside the pages so the flap stays closed.

Page 3 - I used the Designer Series Paper as my background again, and made a little flap from the tomb stone. I added some magnets to hold it closed. The inside of the flap is a Mummy I made from a retired Set - Cookie Cutter Halloween & the Punch. The hat & sentiment is from Bag of Bones.

The pumpkins (from Pick of the Patch Bundle) were stamped onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with Pumpkin Pie Ink, then shaded with Cajun Craze Ink & a Blending Brush. The faces were stamped with Black Memento Ink.

The large bat in the sky was punched from a retired punch.

Page 4 - when you open or turn the next page, you will see pages 4 & 5.

Page 4 - I really like creating this page, I added some die cut hats to some of the pumpkins (the witches hat is from a retired set). I attached them to a few fences (die cut from Bag of Bones), and created a small pocket behind the pumpkins with a strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. This allowed me to place a couple of tags I made from the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

The Boo die cut is from the Trick & Treats Bundle.

The die cut trees in Basic Black & embossed spider webs are from a retired set.

The cute Black & White Gingham Ribbon I used repeatedly is from the Annual Catalogue - , page 143.

The background was created using Pumpkin Pie & Cajun Craze Ink and Blending Brushes.

Inside page 4 is a little surprise! It's a pop-up graveyard. I guess this is the 'Pet Cemetery' part of the album.

I made my blue background with Starry Sky Ink & a Blending Brush. The stars were embossed on first before I started to add the colour.

I have also inked the edges of the tomb stones with Basic Grey and a Blending Brush.

Page 5 is kind of a flat page because my album was getting a little too chunky!

The 'BOO' and all the paper is from Them Bones Designer Series Paper 12 x 12".

I turned this page into a pocket to hold a few tags.

Page 6 has a pull off tag held on by a few magnets. The cat is from Bag of Bones Dies and the spider web die from a retired set. I shaded the paper with Pumpkin Pie Ink.

When you open the flap on page 6, you find two more fun pages inside! Trick or Treat is from the Designer Paper, this is a pocket to hold another tag. The die cut owl was an afterthought to hide a magnet, it's from a retired set (as is the cute crow).

The second page is another graveyard scene sitting on the Cajun Craze Cardstock.

Page 7 is a double door style flap, I rarely make an album without using this design. It's easy and I feel a little enchanting for we all want to see what's behind those doors!!

The sentiment & die cut shape is from the retired Bundle Spooktacular Bash & Ornate Frames Dies.

Inside the doors on page 7 - I wanted to used the super cute ghost dies & house stamp from Tricks & Treats. You may notice I embossed the stars & some smaller ghosts in the background also from the Tricks & Treats Bundle.

The blue background was created the same way I made all the others, this time I added a few drops of water from my Water Painter.

Page 8 was really the back of the album, it could be used as a spot for a message if you were gifting the album, I decided to leave blank at this stage.

Well, that's the lot for now. Thanks so much for dropping in.

Have a fabulous day and keep on crafting!
