Hello lovelies, there is nothing quite as sweet as giving or receiving a surprise gift.
Last weekend I was fortunate to be able to attend a fabulous Stampin'Up!® retreat organised by the awesome Carolyn Bennie in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We had a lovely time, cutting, stamping, laughing, eating and sharing fantastic craft techniques and ideas.
There is a long standing tradition in the Stamping world at get togethers - the giving of 'Pillow Gifts' to one another. These happen on occasions such as Onstage Conferences, retreats, group parties and of course your room buddies whom you share with during these functions.
They can be anything really, little hand made gift boxes, bags, cards framed in photo frames, some things are full of sweet treats, kind messages and so on. They are never expected or asked for - just a lovely surprise.
For this Stamping Retreat, I decided to put together a little gift box full of yummy cookies.
The Baker's Boxes are from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue that is being released September 4th.
There are 8 in a pack - perfect for sweet treats for Christmas, Birthday Parties, a little Thank you Gift, School Teachers and more.
The box was decorated with a beautiful new Bundle - First Frost. I have to say, I am totally captivated by this set. I have since created 2 more 3D projects with First Frost and the DPS is also divine.
The colours I focused on included Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam & Blushing Bride.
The ribbon has unfortunately retired, but I had a little left and I do love it.
The Stamp was from Follow Your Dreams.
My beautiful friend Nat also made a Pillow Gift for everyone and I love it.
It's a cute little tin beautifully decorated with the Petal Palette Stamp and Dies. It was packed full of chocolate!
I was super spoilt and also received this beautiful framed work from the lovely Nat! It now sits proudly on display in my craft studio. Thank you Nat I love it.x
So there you have it, that's what Pillow Gifts are all about. Being thoughtful and sharing a bit of kindness to others through your handmade craft. I am fortunate to have a beautiful collection of wonderful and unique Pillow Gifts from some lovely Stampin'Up!® Demonstators from over the years that I treasure.
Thank you for visiting,
loves & hugs,
Sharni. x
