Hello lovelies,
a quick look at what you can do with the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.
There have been some amazing designs and ideas created by many talented peeps using this delicate DSP. I have never seen such an interesting medium released by Stampin' Up!® before, and was quite intrigued to try it out.
We did in fact, have a chance to create a sample card at the last Onstage Annual Catalogue release in and that was a great start, because seeing this Laser Cut Paper in person, is very different to seeing it flat on a page in the catalogue.
My designs here are quite simple - but I like that because I feel it has a touch of elegance to them.
I used the new Soft Sea Foam Cardstock as a soft light background colour and cut a whole 12"x12" piece of DSP up into 6"x4" squares. Then I carefully cut one of these 6"x4" pieces in half - so to speak so that they fitted over a card front each.
I think each card will look unique.
There was no waste with the DSP.
To adhere the DSP to the card front, I carefully placed tiny dots of glue from my Tombow Glue onto as many parts of the paper as possible. This seemed to have done the trick. I quickly wiped off any excess with my fingers. Sometimes, a bit of talc powder will also do the trick to absorb any excess unwanted glue. (I always have it about during my classes!!)
The sayings on the card are from the Treat Time Clear-Mount Stamp Set and the shape was punched out with the punch from the Darling Label Punch Box - which also comes with coordinating stamps that fit the punch.
To finish off, I brushed over a little Wink of Stella for a touch of sparkle.
Thanks for visiting,
loves and hugs,
Sharni. x
