Fresh start with Mintay, Canvas Art & Miniature Worlds

Hello lovelies, it's been a while since I have posted anything and it's not due to my lack of crafting activity - as I have been quite busy with my projects and classes since the new year. I have however, been doing a lot thinking and soul searching about what direction I want to go from here.

I have decided, that after nearly 10 years as a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator that it's my time to say goodbye to that role and take on new crafting challenges. Like I have told my beautiful team, I am leaving SU, not my friends!

So, I am also saying that to you, my customers, my readers, my friends. I will definitely be continuing on with my craft projects, sharing ideas, techniques, blogging and hosting classes.

The exciting part is I will have no limitations to my creativity or access to any products from any company. Let the creativity juices flow!!

My new love is definitely with the Mintay range...I mean, what's not to love about it? The Designer Paper is incredible with the colours, scenes, themes, quality and you can coordinate them with the Die cut packs...so no fussy cutting if you don't want to! There are Chippies (chipboard laser cuts) you can add to your work, add on pack of paper and a choice of 6 x 6" or 12 x 12" Designer Paper packs as well as the option to purchase individual sheets.

My first class was a Mini Album using the Woodlands Collection by Mintay and the Graphic 45 ATC Album & Box. The feet were from Tim Holtz.

This was designed by me as a make at home kit with two video tutorials, I also offered an open weekend at my craft room for anyone who wanted to do some work together.

Those who could make it, joined me at The Maples to work on their Albums.

Everyone brought some lunch to share and we also had a birthday gal - Shelly. (Thanks to Lynne, we also had a birthday cake)!

This collection is so beautiful with all the woodland animals and flora. It was not hard to create such a lovely album, and the ladies all did an amazing job...I love to see what different designs they come up with.

MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS

My first Mixed Media on Canvas Class was a lot of fun and everyone did so well. I poured the 3 x pieces of resin, everyone received 2 x colours of paint and all the embellishments to creative this sweet piece.

This was a great opportunity to introduce a range of new products that many of us had never used before...or for a long while like Guesso, Embossing Paste, Metallic Waxes and so on.

I loved how some put their personal spin into their work. I can't wait for our next Multi Medium Canvas....hint...it's something to do with bees.

MISS MAPLE'S MINIATURE WORLD

I have always loved the miniature 'world' of doll houses so I decided to create my very first class - in this one, we created a mini laundry scene.

Everything is so cute! I loved this class so much, that I created another one...

....The Front Veranda.

This class is coming up in July and I can't wait!! (It is fully booked, so keep an eye out for my next one)!

LILAC GARDEN by MINTAY

In between my classes, I had a little play with the new Lilac Garden Collection by Mintay and made a few cards. I have lots of products in this suit and I do plan on making an album class in the future.

COASTAL MEMORIES by MINTAY

One class kit that is still currently available, is this Coastal Memories Kit. I hand poured the resin seashells myself, the card bases are nice and thick with a scalloped end by Mintay. All embellishments are included with 4 cards & envelopes in the kit.

COST: $25 plus post. (Australia wide).

There will be a video tutorial included.

CRAFT RETREAT JUNE 2025

I am in the process of setting up and booking in a Craft Retreat at the Discovery Hahndorf Resort in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia for next June 2025.

Once the dates are confirmed, I will open bookings. It is a while away I know, but this gives you time to plan your weekend away of 3 full days of crafting with Mintay products. All kits are included. Just bring your craft tools.

The projects are still to be decided. But I am very excited!
