Greatest Journey - March 2023

Hello lovelies,

it's our son Angus's 23 birthday today. I have been busy all week trying to create a card that represents him and his greatest joy...Orienteering.

Lucky for me, I have come across a fabulous bundle that does suit such an occasion.

The GREATEST JOURNEY BUNDLE.

For those who have never heard of Orienteering ...

What is orienteering in simple words?

"Orienteering is a sport in which orienteers use an accurate, detailed map and a compass to find points in the landscape. It can be enjoyed as a walk in the woods or as a competitive sport.

What is an orienteering map? An orienteering map is a map specially prepared for use in orienteering events. It is a large-scale topographic map with extra markings to help the participant navigate through the course." Wikipedia

Angus can not only read these maps, but compete in international events world wide representing Australia at times. He is considered an elite athlete. (Super fit).

We are of course incredibly proud of him.

I cut the foliage from Gorgeous Grape and inked the edges with the same colour ink.

You many see I have embossed some white stars onto the pages as well as the sentiment.

I specifically chose the dark scene to try to represent night orienteering - which is a thing.

The white paper with the trees stamped onto it will be glued to the back of the card, it's where I will right our Birthday wishes.

The paper is ENJOY THE JOURNEY 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, and I have had a bit of fun creating this half star fold.
