Over the Hills & Far Away!

Hello lovelies, do you remember that song as a child?......

Five little ducks Went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother duck said "Quack, quack, quack, quack" But only four little ducks came back ...

Well this card reminds me of that particular song.

I used the Fable Friends Stamp Set and went to town! I decided to call this card technique a Multi Die Cut Method.

So, how did I do it? I made a Whisper White card base thenI cut 3 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock slightly smaller than the size of the base card front. Just a few centimeters smaller on all sides. (each country has their own standard card measurements, so I just used Australian standard).

Then with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits, I cut a rectangle out of each piece of cardstock - gradually getting smaller. (so the dies I used were smaller as I went, hence so too were the rectangle spaces in the cardstock.

As you can see, the three pieces of cardstock nicely nest on top of each other with an infinity effect.

I then drew and cut out my 3 hills and sponged Granny Apple Green onto them with a sponge dauber. My video tutorial shows very clearly how I assemble the layers using dimensionals.

I coloured the ducks in with Blends and cut them out, and put them in place once the rest of the card was ready.

These are all the colours I used. Pink Pirouette is no longer available, but there are other soft pinks in the blends collection you could use such as Flirty Flamingo.
