Hello lovelies, Wow! What an amazing weekend I have just experienced. I hosted a craft getaway for my Maples Stampers in the Adelaide Hills, Belair, South Australia.
I would like to thank all the beautiful ladies who shared the weekend with me and made it such a special time for me and everyone else. You are very special to me and I am so fortunate to have you all in my life!
As part of our wonderful crafty experiences, we participate in card and 3D swaps (optional). I will show you all the beautiful swaps I received in another blog. I wanted to show you what I created as my Card swap and how I made it.
But first, I wanted to say, this card was originally created especially for a lovely friend in New Zealand - Delys Cram and I have been waiting until she received this card before I posted the tutorial on how I made it.
This pretty cow is from the Over the Moon Stamp Set that will be available in the new Catalogue June 4. There is no die for it ( I used a Scan n Cut machine). But not to worry, because the principle of how I made this card can be used on a lot of other images that do have a coordinating die or punch.
I made 13 cards (as did everyone else) for the swap. I just love the rainbow colours, and they look so pretty when you spin the wheel.
I created a video tutorial how I made the cards, and I used this image from the Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Bundle - this means you can make it too!
I embossed the images on the front of the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock with White Embossing Powder and stamped the butterfly images with Stazon onto a piece of Acetate.
The spinner wheel was cut from a circle die (retired) with a circumference of 3 & 5/8". I used Shimmery White Paper.
The colours I used were - Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, Balmy Blue & Bermuda Bay. The ink was applied with Sponge Daubers.
Here is the video tutorial to see exactly how I made these cards....
(I'm currently having trouble loading the video onto youtube - sorry! ) There is a copy on my FB page........https://www.facebook.com/sharni.haines/videos/2289116704681262/
This card was made for s special friend in mind because she loves birds as much as I do and I thought she would get a smile out it!
Well that's all for now, thanks for visiting, keep your eye out for all the beautiful swaps I received from my annual Maples Getaway....coming soon.
Loves and Hugs,
Sharni. x
