Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop March 2022- Colour Combo

This month's theme is Colour Combo - Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink brought to you by the clever and talented Maï Lavidalie.

Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.

As mentioned, the theme for today's page is colours....Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink. I have followed the brief and created my page with these 3 colours and a touch of gold.

I pulled put the old Painted Poppies Bundle (haven't used for a long time!) and die cut flowers with Blushing Bride & Basic White. I brushed a little colour onto the white part of the flowers with my Blending Brush & Blushing Bride ink.

Apart from the Cardstock colours of Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink, I also used some pieces from Abstract Beauty 4"x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper that match the colour brief. You can see the lovely piece of Misty Moonlight here with gold foil splotches.

I used Gold Shimmery Ribbon underneath a sentiment from Create with Friends Stamp Set. This circle and all the other circles were cut from the Picture This Die. It has lovely stitched edges and different size circles all in one piece.

The pink spotty & gold DSP (Designer Series Paper) is also from the Abstract Beauty 4"x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Each square or rectangle was cut and matted with either Misty Moonlight or Blushing Bride and then a second layer with Crumb Cake Cardstock. I love these colours, so this was not a difficult challenge for me!

You may see the tiny Gold Metallic Pearls dotted here and there over the page, they help bring in the gold touches.

The background paper is a retired piece of 12"x 12" DSP I had in my stash from last years catalogue. I chose it because it was the perfect colour and had a tiny script on it.

Enough teasing! Here is the completed page. Those that follow some of my work will instantly recognize the photos...they are from my Marie Antoinette Birthday Party I held last year to celebrate my 50th Birthday. This is inside 'The Barn' where we had our evening meal. I felt so honored and fortunate to be able to have my friends and family with me.

What I really love is how everyone made such an effort to dress up so beautifully! It was like going back in time.
