Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop November 2021 - Scrap Lift

Hello lovelies,

I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia and welcome to our monthly Scrapbook pages blog hop. I am glad you have joined me to hop all around the globe and check out some inspiring pages. You may have started here or come from the clever Rae .

This month's theme is Scrap Lift - take an idea you have seen and put your own twist on it.

Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.

I choose a page that was made by another Demonstrator - Krista Pratton. I really love the simplicity of her page and I wanted to have a play with my Linen 12" x 12" Specialty Paper, so this was a great design to work with.

I decided to use one of the photos from my 50th Birthday Party from this year...this one is of my family!! LOL. Aren't they adorable? They all dressed up so well, in fact, many of them loved dressing up in their outfits so much - that we are planning to do it again sometime!

Plus, my sister Aunt, Uncle and other lovely friends from interstate who could not make it due to COVID, may all dress up with us when they get the chance to visit!

I rubbed the Balmy Blue Ink Pad over the top of the Linen 12" x 12" Specialty Paper. Then I peeled of the back and stuck it on top a Basic White 12" x 12" piece of Cardstock.

You may not have realized that this Linen 12" x 12" Specialty Paper has an adhesive backing!

It also has a wonderful texture to it, I really enjoyed working with it.

I stamped some images with Early Espresso and the Very Versailles & Quiet Meadow onto the Linen Specialty Paper. You can see in this close up the wonderful fabric texture this paper has.

Using the Ornate Layers Dies, I cut two rectangle shapes from Very Vanilla Cardstock. One rectangle I cut in half and placed underneath the photo, the second one I used to journal on.

I used two different ribbons - Smoky Slate Textured & Gold Simply Elegant Trim to embellish my page.

The flowers were cut from the POINSETTIA DIES using Very Vanilla Cardstock. I added a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling.

Here you can just see the Cork 12" x 12" Specialty Paper that I framed the page over.

I was happy with the antique finish to go with the photo theme.
