Welcome lovelies to Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. Each month (every third Thursday) a talented group of scrapbookers get together from all over the world to create and share their beautiful designs with you! This month's theme is a Sketch Challenge thought up by the gorgeous Sharon Dalton!
I love this idea and couldn't wait to get started.
I'm Sharni from Australia, you may have started here or just come from the talented and fabulous Cynthia !
Here is the Sketch from Sharon that we will base our own scrapbook page from.
Here is my interpretation of the sketch. I started with Whisper White 12x12" Cardstock and stamped images with Versamark and Embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then with Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles, I painted over the images so they would be visible.
Next, I stamped the script from Very Versaille in Sahara Sand, followed by some strips of ribbon across the page. I also punched a full length border in Sahara Sand with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch .
The page is a little distorted due the water work I did on the page, but once placed into a protective sleeve, it sits pretty flat!(few!)
The photo was matted with Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand. I also did a little sponging on the edges of the Sahara Sand with the same ink.
I made the flowers with the FREE Small Blooms Punch that is currently on offer from the SAB specials.
The Small Bloom Punch is yours FREE when you spend $180 AUD on any order until the end of March.
I do try to make a double page when I can, so here is the second page, basically a mirror image to the first one.
The solid leaves I punched from the Leaf Punch, the butterflies are from the Butterfly Beauty Dies and I used the Detailed Bands Dies to cut out the decorative pattern in Sahara Sand that sits underneath the photo near the journal box.
When I was painting on the Granny Green Pigments, using my Aqua Painter, I also added some splatters of large drops onto my page.
I coloured in some Basic Rhinestones with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend and stuck them on both pages and in the centres of the flowers for a bit of bling.
I used the Metallic Edge Petal Pink Ribbon and Braided Burlap Trim to decorate my page.
Well that's all for now, thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoyed viewing my work and have gained some ideas and inspirations.
loves and hugs,
Sharni.x
