Hello lovelies,
Happy New Year! I hope you are all feeling well rested and refreshed for a hopefullly better year!!
Welcome to our January Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. This month we get the opportunity to share a little about ourselves...we are creating a scrapbook page on ourselves! I think this will be a fun way to learn a little more about each other within our team and of course for you, as our devoted readers may to gain a little more about who is behind the scene!
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia you may have started here or come from the very talented Sherry. I think we are in for a lovely treat today with such a heartfelt theme! Take your time and enjoy all our designs and layouts and hopefully gain some inspiration for your own scrapbooking pages.
Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.
Today's theme is brought to you by the talented Mai!
I will give you one guess what the new Designer Series Paper is that I am using ...it's the Hydrangea Hill DSP. And it's so pretty.
Hydrangea Hill Designer Paper is in the new 2021 Mini Catalogue and will be available until June 2021. It's on page 19 and is $20 for 12 sheets (12 x 12").
I have never scrapbooked about myself before and had to think what sort of things would be interesting to others. I decided to just list off some facts and interests, print them out and cut up into strips. I sponged the edges with Gorgeous Grape and Balmy Blue which coordinates with the Designer Paper.
I fussy cut along the edges of the hydrangeas on both sides of the DSP, then sponged the edges with Gorgeous Grape. I then mounted both strips of the flowers with FOAM ADHESIVE STRIPS and stuck them down onto a plain 12 x 12" sheet of white paper.
The middle part of the DSP (blue part) was sponged with Balmy Blue and also stuck onto the white sheet.
I then arranged all the written facts about myself and added a small photo of myself.
To pick up the Black Cardstock I decided to add a few punched out hearts in black (retired punch) and use some other black elements that I had in my stash from a retired Halloween collection...the black birds and black dots.
I wanted to add some leaves among the written script to soften it a little, so I stamped some leaves from the Berry Blessing Stamp set that is part of a FREE product during Sale-A-Bration Jan-Feb this year.
I stamped the leaf outline with Old Olive and the fill in colour with Pear Pizzazz.
So that is all from me today. Thank you for dropping in, I wish you happy crafting in the new year! Don't forget to keep on hopping around to check out what everyone else has made and to perhaps find out a little more about the team! I know I can't wait.
