Welcome lovelies to Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for July 2019. This month's theme is Travel. I'm Sharni from Australia, you may have started here or just come from the lovely Lotte Noordzij....who happens to be our guest designer for the month, congratulations Lotte, I'm looking forward to see what wonderful design you have come up with! (and everyone else's too!)
Our guest designer this month is Lotte Noordzij-Walther.
I love participating in these blog hops because it makes me create some scrapbooking pages that I may not have ever got to making and my family love to see what photos I use from what occasion, so it's a surprise to everyone...sometimes even myself. I also like to see what everyone else has created in the blog - there are always some beautiful designs that just blow me away.
So, I'm going to let you have a guess where I went on my last overseas holiday...while you try to work it out, I will tell you what I did and used for my page.
The leaves are embossed and cut out using the Nature's Roots Dies in Mossy Meadow A4 Cardstock. I teased out some Braided Linen Trim and made a small loop then centred it with a Gold Faceted Gem.
The background you can see here was created on a 12x12" Very Vanilla Cardstock - I sponged on some Pear Pizzazz ink and then stamped some images randomly in Soft Suede Ink. The stamps I used were - Stitched all Round, Magical Mermaid, Painted Harvest and the new Very Versailles.
The DSP I used was a mix from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper. I placed a silver Leaf Trinket next to the give away metal badge from Kings Cannon!! So it's out of the bag where I was! Ahhh that didn't last long did it! LOL. (have to plan that better next time)
You might be able to see some sequins I've placed about the place for a little extra pop. I also created some ink spots using my Aqua Painter and Soft Suede ink.
I was having a bit of fun with this new Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim..It sort of mimicked the fence I was leaning on. The smaller photo to the right was cut out using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
So there you have it! I was on an adventure amongst the giant Sequoia trees in Kings Canyon, California! My husband and I decided to visit this amazing place before heading over to Orlando for the November 2018 Stampin' Up! Convention.
I do have a coordinating page...as I do like to match up my pages but time is just not on my side today....so I will post it another time.
Thank you for spending some time with me today I hope you enjoy viewing everyone's work!
loves and hugs,
Sharni.x
