Hello lovelies,
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia and welcome to our monthly Scrapbook pages blog hop. I am glad you have joined me to hop all around the globe and check out some inspiring pages. This month's theme is all about creating a page using five chosen products by Courtenay. You may have started here or come from Courtenay's amazing work!
The chosen 5 elements we were briefed to use were -
Die Cut Elements
5 Gems
Embossing
Alphabet Stamps
Ribbon
Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.
Today's theme was brought to you by the lovely Courtenay!
I have created a page with all the elements and a bit more. For the die cuts, I used the frond leaf, flowers, mushroom, branch and the bird the from Iconic Dies, plus the branch of leaves from Artistically Inked Dies.
The 5 Gems were the Elegant Faceted Gems that I coloured in with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend.
I Embossed three different ways, the stripy blue and white paper (You're a Peach Designer Series Paper) was embossed with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and I used the Gilded Leafing all over the place on the leaves etc...which is easier to see!
The third way, was by stamping a 'paint splotch' from (stamp set) with VersaMark & Black Embossing Powder. You can see a better picture of this further along.
I do not have any alphabet stamps, so I used the next closest thing and that was a font stamp...Very Versailles...this has to be one of my very most favourite stamps and it's perfect for using on scrapbook pages, I do seem to use it quite a lot. I stamped the frame around the photo of hubby and me with Crumb Cake and sponged the edges in the same ink.
Ribbon was the final element to add so I chose the Gold Fine Art Ribbon, which worked quite well with the gold and blue on the page.
Here you can see some of the black dots I embossed with VersaMark & Black Embossing Powder - they are above the bird.
I added a couple of metal Heart Charms from the Mini Catalogue and coloured them in Night of Navy using a Stampin' Blend.
I used Pacific Point Card Stock to pick up the blues from the photo, and a bit of Basic Black.
It was so much fun and I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created, don't stop here..here hopping to see what beautiful project is next from our design team.
Thank you for your comments, they always make me smile!
