Hello lovelies, welcome to another fun Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop! This month our Mystery Guest Designer is Denise Cox ! And she has picked a Masculine theme...it's something that I can find challenging but essential really because half our household is males, so I guess they deserve a little attention once and awhile!
My name is Sharni and I'm from Australia, you may have started here or come from the clever Eimear. Either way, grab a cup of tea, sit back and enjoy the hop!
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has designed and created as their masculine page(s) for this month.
This is our son Angus (18) the photo was taken a year ago at our house. We moved here when he was just 7 years old - on his Birthday! I remember we had our dinning table but no chairs so we stood around the table and sang happy birthday to him while he blew out the candles on his cake!
I'm calling this page...Old meets new because I have used up the very last of my Floral Romance DSP (as the background paper) and surrounded the photo with the new Come Sale Away DSP. (This is in the new 2019/20 Catalogue available from the 4th June.)
Every edge of paper on this page was inked with Soft Suede. The ribbons are Classic Weave Ribbon in Crumb Cake and Whisper White Flax Ribbon (which I ran the dauber over with Soft Suede to dirty it up a little.)
I ripped and inked the edges of the 12x12" DSP and adhered it to a black piece of cardstock to allow a bit of black to show on the edges for contrast.
I coloured in some of the new 2019/2021 In colour Faceted Dots with my black sharpie pen.
The faint writing you may see is from Real Life stamped off in Sahara Sand.
All the die cut foliage is from the Foliage Frame Framelits (tongue twister!) I used Basic Black and Mossy Meadow Cardstock. The stamped leaves are from Rooted in Nature and stamped with Mossy Meadow.
I used the dies from Well Said Bundle which will be still available in the new catalogue - but sold separately so if you wish to save 10% on the stamp set and dies it's probably a good idea to order the bundle now before the new old catalogue is finished.
I have kept this page pretty simple as I was short on time but you can see a close up of where I have hand drawn in some lines and squiggles using a Basic Grey Marker
and a black felt tip pen just for some interest.
Well that's all for now, I hope you have enjoyed my page, thank you for visiting and have a fantastic day!
