Welcome lovelies to Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. Each month (on the third Thursday) a talented group of scrapbookers get together from all over the world to create and share their beautiful designs with you! This month, I get to choose the theme! Yippee!
So, for a bit of fun, I thought I'd like to make my pages a little Interactive!
Nothing like a little challenge to oneself!
I'm Sharni from South Australia, you may have started here or just come from the talented...Mai".
I hope you have a cup of tea or coffee with you, because there are a lot of photos here!!!
For this theme, instead of creating just one or two pages, I actually created a whole photo album using the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack and the Basic Black 6" X 8" Album which both will be retiring June 2.
I will walk you through each page, please forgive the reflection from the plastic sleeves.
This is the inside cover and first page.
(there will be a short video at the end with more details on the interactive pages)

Basic Black 6" X 8" Album 144203 Price:$17.50 - This is a sweet little photo album ( pages sold separately) and of top quality. I have used it several times and will miss it.
I have used the whole pack of Variety Pack 6" X 8" Photo Pocket Pages 144205 Price:$10.50.
You get 12 x pages. So, this means I have created 24 pages!
I may have skipped some pages to save you time...
Every opened double page has at least one interactive element to it. I won't lie, this did take me a few weeks to complete! But I did have fun, and learnt a few things along the way.
The glossy finishes you may notice on many of the cut out images were achieved by using Glossy Accents.
My favourite paper would have to be the one with the cars and palm trees.
This saying was embossed with the retired shimmery Black Embossing Powder.
I used many different elements and coloured cardstock throughout the album...I just went with what I thought co ordinates best with the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack and the DSP.
This envelope was made with the retired envelope punch.
You can tell which pockets pull open by the ribbon tags I have stapled onto the covers.
I do like this page....so pink!
There are no photos in this album yet, because I intend to give this to my mum as a gift.
I used the Barn Door as a cute feature that opens - you can put a little photo or saying inside.
Tags are a fun way to display little keepsakes, sayings or tiny photos. These can pull out from the sewn pockets.
I stamped onto pieces of Window Sheet with Stazon and sewed them onto the cardstock. (if you are a sewer, you may notice that my tension on my sewing machine is currently too tight!) The tags were punched from the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
I couldn't help it...I had to make a mini shaker pocket!!
I featured Pretty Peacock and So Saffron on these pages.
Last page....a little flip and another envelope of the very back of the album for any keepsakes.
For a full viewing of the 24 pages and the interactions I have created, have a look here at my short 2 minute video.
