Hello lovelies,
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia and welcome to our monthly Scrapbook pages blog hop. I am glad you have joined me to hop all around the globe and check out some inspiring pages. This month's theme was brought to you by the lovely Delys and it's all about creating our own creative backgrounds! You may have started here or come from Rae Jean's amazing work!
Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.
Today's theme was brought to you by the lovely Delys!
When I saw the theme, my mind went crazy with ideas. I had to settle on just one (if I had more time, I might have created a few different designs).
When one immediately thinks of creating a background for a scrapbook page, you might think about making your own Designer Paper print with stamping, inking, adding something neutral, pretty and interesting - I know I did. But then I thought about it, and really, you can do absolutely anything!
My idea came from another scrapbook page designed by Terhi Koskinen. Her page was awesome she had ink added to hers and all sorts of interesting stuff going on. My page is a simplified version!
As you may have noticed, I have used the new Pansy Patch Bundle and Quiet Meadow with the Dandy Wishes Dies. I have also used a lot of different Cardstock that has been cut into 1" strips and punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
I used White Embossing Powder to stamp a few sentiments onto some of the card stock strips. I have listed the stamps and dies in the products list at the end of the blog.
I could not resist trying out my new little bumble bee from the Quiet Meadow set...too cute! I used my new sewing machine (Disney Princess Sewing Machine!) that I got for my birthday from my parents...it is just for my paper craft projects so not to ruin my good sewing machine I use for my quilts. Anyway, I sewed the edges and along the middle strip.
So here it is, a bright and happy background. I added a photo to show where it could be placed on the page. It's a family shot taken in March during my cousin's wedding she had at our place.
The bling is some Frosted/Clear Epoxy Drops that I coloured with Stampin' Blends.
That's all from me for now...
...don't stop here...keep going to see what everyone else has designed for this fun theme.
Thank you for your comments, they always make me smile!

I don't sew, but love it when sewing is added to a page, such a simple yet fun element. Your colors are awesome and all the different die cutes work so well together. Great job!!
