Hello lovelies,
welcome to another fun Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. This Thursday our theme is something totally different to what I have ever done before...we have to create our page around 9 shapes. The brief is : repeat a single shape of your choice 9 times in creating your layout.
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia you may have started here or come from the absolutely fabulous Sharon. either way have a look and keep on hopping around to see what beautiful creations everyone has to share with us today.
Here is our beautiful and incredibly talented Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Creative Team.
Today's theme is brought to you by our wonderful Sara!
I decided to use circles as my 9 shapes. I used a mix of circle dies that I own...some current and some retired. You can always use round plates and bowls to get the shape easily if your circle dies are not large enough.
To achieve the background, I sponged on Real Red Ink and then stamped the sentiment from Tasteful Touches multiple times with Sahara Sand.
(You may notice the 12 x12" cardstock is slightly textured that is because I ran out of Whisper White Cardstock and had to use other paper I had in my stash!)
The images are from a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and Card Class I hosted in September this year. The event went for two days and we had a fabulous time!! You may see our daughter, Sapphire in the stripes and Evalin (our son's girlfriend) dressed as Alice.

I cut out circles and hearts using the TRIMMING THE TOWN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER & HEARTWARMING HUGS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, as well as Blushing Bride Cardstock.
The hearts were punched from my collection of heart punches (retired).
I cut out the letters using the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES and hand wrote the word you underneath it.
I sewed down the middle of some REAL RED DOUBLE-STITCHED SATIN RIBBON with my sewing machine and pulled on the thread to make the ribbon rouse up. Then placed it amongst the photos and circles and stuck down with some glue dots.
I stamped a sentiment from Grace's Garden Stamp with Early Espresso ink.

When I have more time, I plan to create a second page to match this one. I really enjoyed working with this theme, and it made me design and work with something fun and different...well done to Sara for thinking this up! I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created.
Well that's all from me for now, thanks for visiting and taking the time to read this! Take care and keep on crafting and doing what makes you happy!
