Hello lovelies, welcome to another fun Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop! This month our Mystery Guest Designer is the wonderful Delys Cram!!! She has set her theme as Seeing Double.
Now that's a true challenge Delys.
My name is Sharni and I'm from Australia, you may have started here or come from the wonderful Cynthia McQueen . Either way, grab a cup of tea, sit back and enjoy the hop!
This is the lovely Delys Cram, our guest designer for the month. Congratulations Delys ! I had the pleasure of meeting Delys during the last Onstage Live in New Zealand in April 2019. She is so sweet and talented, I'm excited to be participating in her chosen blog theme this month.
I decided to use some photos of my Sister Kylie and Daughter Sapphire. My sister lives in Victoria so I don't see her often. March this year, she came to Adelaide to visit and I took her out for lunch.
To fit the theme (Seeing Double), I used similar photos on both pages (and even repeated some) and created very similar layouts on both pages.
I stamped the magnolia image from the Good Morning Magnolia Set using StazOn Ink onto 12"x12" Whisper White Cardstock.
Using my Aqua Painter, I added some soft shades of Seaside Spray and Pool Party to the flowers and leaves....very abstractly!
The black spots were created by flicking some Memento Ink from my re inker bottle onto the page with the Aqua Painter. The blue patches of colour is Seaside Spray stamped with Artisan Textures Stamp Set.
The cut out words are from the Well Written Dies. I used Smoky Slate A4 Cardstock.
For interest and contrast, I stamped some more magnolia flowers, cut them out and placed them between the base of the page and the photos. I left them un coloured.
Here you can also see some small leaves cut out in Seaside Spray from the Magnolia Memory Dies. I even glued on the negative bits and pieces among some blue sequins I had.
All the photos were framed using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.
Here is the second page.
I enjoyed creating these pages, I feel they are fresh and happy, just like the photos.
Well that's all for now, I hope you have enjoyed seeing my work, thank you for visiting and have a fantastic day!
