Hello lovelies,
it has been a little while since I have said hello and shared something crafty here with you. Sometimes, life just gets way too busy.
Last weekend, we gathered together at The Maples to start (or work on) The See You in Paris Mini Album. This beautiful paper collection is from Mintay one of my favourite companies!

Many could not make the actual workshop day, but I hope they have had a chance to start their albums at home.
I thank all of those who booked a kit and to let you know your support means everything to me.
The first step was to create the album cover itself, I choose to use fabric for a first time, and it was not too tricky for such a lovely result. I will definitely use fabric again, it is a wonderful medium to work with and I love the look and feel of the cover.

To make this album, I used Mintay's See You in Paris Collection....
Chippies Album Base - Paris
12"x 12" Scrapbooking Paper
Paper Die Cuts
Paper Elements
Sticker Sheet - words
6"x 8" Add on Paper Pack
Seam Binding Ribbon
my own supply of embellishments
White splatter paint
black cardstock, black paint
See You in Paris Mini Album The Paper Elements have a lovely collection of mini envelopes, tags, circles and ticket shaped pieces- this makes it so easy to add to the pockets and pages of the album.
See You in Paris Mini Album The paper images are so beautiful, it is not hard to choose what goes where in the pages, as they look good anywhere!
See You in Paris Mini Album Lots of little surprise flaps & pockets.
See You in Paris Mini Album I loved adding the pre cut paper die images to the pages, it just fills in spaces and brings everything together.
See You in Paris Mini Album The first page has a little envelope (already cut, just score & fold) from the Paper Elements Pack. I held the flaps of the envelopes closed with a mini velcro dot.

There are a lot of spots to add photos in this album, they are just hidden underneath the flaps or in the pockets. There is also a lot of places to add your journaling and maybe a few bits of memorabilia from a holiday or wedding or birthday etc.
You can view a little more detail of this album on my instagram page HERE

The Mintay stickers were a great bonus to this project - they can be added to any page and not look out of place.

I wanted to also mention that back in December 2024, I was thrilled to have met Karola Machnacz (Mintay's founder & product designer).
She came over from Poland to give some classes throughout Australia. Some friends and myself joined her class in South Australia at Paper Flourish.
It was fabulous to see her technique how she binds her chippies albums and decorates the pages. I really appreciated learning a new way to do this and have adapted it to my album binding technique (with a few tweeks)!
It was a great day & I was so excited to meet the amazing designer of this beautiful product.
Well that's all for now, have a wonderful day, hope you get some craty goodness happening this week.
Thanks so much.
Crafty hugs,
Sharni. x
