Hello lovelies, Happy Easter and welcome to another wonderful Blog Host thought up by the lovely Kelly Kent.
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia and we are a group of Australian Demonstrators from all over the country who wish to help us all connect through our art and passion of stamping and paper crafting.
You may have started here or have come from the beautiful Nicole Wilson!
This Blog Host theme is all about Rainbows! Kelly described it perfectly...."Rainbows have become the symbol of connectedness during these times of isolation following the theme of "we're all in this together"."
Rainbows can bring happiness and always a little bit of awe & amazement when we see a real one after the storm has passed. So let's keep looking and waiting for our rainbow once our current 'global storm' has passed. x
I created a quick and easy shaker card.
This card was inspired by Lucy's Cards - when I saw her wonderful card I new exactly what I wanted to do and I just love her clever idea of sewing the acetate to the card front for the quickest shaker card ever!
I used Whisper White Thick Cardstock as my card base and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper for the next layer. I wet the whole sheet with my Aqua Painter and then brushed on all the ink from the Brights Re inker Collection.
(Tip - if you cut a piece of the waterpaper in half you have enough to make two cards).
Brights Classic Stampin' Ink Refill Assortment
After I applied all the colours to the card, I embossed the sentiments with Black Embossing Powder for a rich crisp finish using the lovely big sentiments from Stitched All Round Stamp Set.
.
After gluing the waterpaper & base card together, I used my sewing machine to stitch the Window Sheet to the top of the card. Before sealing the card, I added some of the Iridescent Sequin Assortments.
I am thrilled how these cards turned out - so bright and happy!
Hopefully I have spread some cheer around.
Hang in there guys, staying at home can be tough but it will be worth it in the end. In the meantime, let's support one another and get through this together.
A massive thank you to Kelly for once again hosting such a fun event. x

Oh this is the easiest shaker card I’ve ever seen Sharni. This might just persuade me to get my sewing machine out.
This is the best Sharni! I love sewing on cards and such a clever way to create a vibrant rainbow shaker card. Kelly x
This is stunning, love your rainbow colours. A great tip on a quick shaker card. I must give it a try!
Beautiful card as always Sharni. Love how you sewed the acetate to make a quick shaker card. I might have to give this a go. Perfect watercolour rainbow background!
Love love love!! The rainbow, the sparkle, the shaker, the watercolouring - everything is just PERFECT!! Wow!!
