Hello lovelies,
welcome to the Social Stamping Blog hosted by the wonderful Kelly Kent!
I'm Sharni Haines from South Australia, I have joined a group of Demonstrators brought together by Kelly. We are from all over who wish to help everyone connect through our art and passion of stamping and paper crafting. you may have started here, or come from the wonderful Lisa Whitehead.
This weeks theme is Thinking of You. And I believe it's a lovely one and most likely a very true statement for a lot of us who are missing family and friends. Things are getting better here at home in South Australia, we have had more restrictions relaxed, we can go out to restaurants, cafes and such and very soon even go interstate to Victoria which is fabulous because I have plans to visit my sister in Victoria.
My card today was something quite different to what I normally do, but it was actually a lot of fun and I am happy with the results. The best thing about it is you do not need to be a trained artist to make it!
It's a cute little hedgehog is from the Walk in the Woods Stamp Set. To get that water colour finish, I stamped in Sahara Sand onto SHIMMERY WHITE A4 CARDSTOCK and using my new Water Painters and ink pads, I coloured in the images.
The background DSP (Designer Series Paper) is 2020–2022 IN COLOR 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. I used the Cinnamon Cider coloured paper.
(Tip - to open the new Water Painters to fill with water, remember to unscrew them backwards! They open the opposite way you would think!)
These are the colours I used. I always stamp some colour onto a Clear Block and use it as my palate.
I stamped the sentiment with Cinnamon Cider.
I had a bit of fun with this one by adding some Shimmery Crystal Effects onto the mushrooms.
I ended up making a few cards, and as you may notice, each one looks slightly different.
Well, that's all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by and hopefully you have gained some inspiration?
A massive thank you to Kelly for once again hosting such a fun event. x
