Hello lovelies, a warm welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month I am showing you a fun project you can make using the Floral Romance Suit, (we had a choice of Floral Romance (any part of suite), Piece of Cake Bundle or Beautifully Detailed Laser Cut Paper).
For those who don't know me, my name is Sharni Haines and I'm from South Australia.
You may have started here or just come from the lovely ......... Danielle from the Netherlands.
I have seen so many beautiful cards made with this suit so I thought I would create something a little different...a mini album.
This is a 6 page mini album made using the Envelope Punch Board. I will include a link to where I got the instructions on how to make one here by Carissa Wittig.
Each page is a 12 x12" piece of cardstock..so you will need 4 pieces. Each page measures about 6 x6" square, so it's actually quite easy and economical to cut the DSP to fit the pages without much waste.
I have used the Floral Romance Suite (DSP, Stamps and Embellishments) the SAB free gift; Precious Parcel Card Kit to decorate the pages.
The front cover, like many parts of this album, have small tags that slot into spaces and can slide out holding messages and in the future, potentially display some photographs. I used the Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set for this tag and stamped most of my tags in Mossy Meadow. You might see some of the sweet little Iridescent Sequin Assortment sequins scattered over the cover.
The die cut leaves are from the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies and are held down underneath by one of the gold Floral Romance Seals and Petal Pink/Whisper White
Variegated Ribbon.
Each page has a side pocket to fit a tag or envelope, I alternated these pockets with both. They are designed to hold photos or other memorabilia.
Page one has a hand cut butterfly from the SAB Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and as seen, I've also used the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set for the small butterflies on both pages and tags.
All the little envelopes throughout the pages, were made using the Envelope Punch Board.
Just showing what is inside the pocket and envelope.
Apologies for the bad photo, but here is the first envelope stamped and edges inked (Smokey Slate) coming out of the side pocket.
Pages 3 & 4, simple layering of DSP and envelopes with tags for sweet messages. I have used a little of the Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper on page 4. This was glued down carefully with the Tombow Glue.
More tags.
Pages 5 & 6 are the last and really just repeat and continue the theme with pockets and envelopes. I love using the velum from the Floral Romance DSP to create some of the envelopes. I stamped the sayings using Butterfly Gala Photopolymer, Wonderful Romance & Part Of My Story Cling Stamp Sets.
Each envelope that sits in the side pockets holds a blank card for journaling or photos.
Because I am holding a class next week creating this album, I have pretty much used up all my beautiful papers and embellishments! LOL. But I did have enough to create this very simple card. The envelope was made with the Envelope Punch Board. It can open to hold a message I have chosen not to as I will have my message inside.
This card could compliment the mini album if you were planning to give it as a gift to someone special.
Well that's all from me, thanks for stopping by.
I hope you found my project interesting and inspirational.
