Hello lovelies,
welcome to our first blog hop for 2021! We get this months theme is a particular favourite of mine...Gilded Leafing!! WOW. I can tell we are in for a real treat today and I can't personally wait to share my project with you and see what everyone else has to show you!
The Gilded Leafing is a new product to Stampin' Up! - it's in the new 2021 Mini Catalogue.
I am Sharni from South Australia and happy to have you pop in!
I have made a 3D project and a card to share with you today.
This February I am hosting a 3 day luxurious 4 star craft getaway in the beautiful Adelaide Hills for a lovely group of ladies and it is over the Valentine's weekend! So.....as one of my special gifts for my group, I have made everyone a sweet little gift box. (Sorry, ladies this is a spoiler for you - so look away now!)
I used the new LOVE YOU ALWAYS TREAT BOX from the 2021 Jan Mini Catalogue, covered them with LOVE YOU ALWAYS 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER & the Blushing Bride Cardstock on top.
I decorated the top of the boxes with the GILDED LEAFING. To use the leafing, it's basically the same way you would use the embossing powder with VersaMark and a
Heat Tool.
"Stamp an image with VersaMark ink, apply Heat & Stick Powder, heat with a heat tool, and then add this Gilded Leafing Embellishment. Once the image has cooled, you can brush off the flakes to reveal a gold image."
I used two stamp sets - Gorgeous Posies ( the three round circles stamp), and A Touch of Ink Stamp Set which is a FREE product during SALE-A-BRATION Jan - Feb. (the butterfly).
The sentiment was stamped with Soft Suede.
Details how I did this is on my video below.
I also used this stamped image to create a card...
The ribbon is the BLUSHING BRIDE 3/8" (1 CM) METALLIC RIBBON.
You may be curious what's to go in these little boxes....but I don't want to spoil the surprise for my ladies, so I can't tell you today!!
Another project I used the Gilded Leaves is on the name tags for the Getaway. I simply wiped the paper over the VersaMark paste and dipped the paper into Heat & Stick Powder and followed the next few steps already mentioned.
The colours were stamped over the printed names with a retired stamp set.
This is such a fun a medium to work with and with such beautiful results.
Well, that's my lot for the day! I hope you get a chance to play with this wonderful product. If you have subscribed to My Happy Box, you will certainly get a chance!
I have made a little YouTube video showing a few different techniques I have done with the Guilded Leaves.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and I appreciate all your comments!! Take care.
Up next is Martin from the UK.
Hugs,
P.S. (I now have one spot available at my getaway this February...please contact me if you are keen to be totally pampered and have a divine time! x)

Life of Charlie
One moment in time - during our morning walk. Charlie didn't really want to stop and pose for a photo as she had far too much to see and smell!...but she finally agreed.
