Hello lovelies,
I am Sharni Haines from South Australia. Welcome to our monthly Sunday Stamping Blog Hop. I have missed a lot of hops!!! But I am happy to be back, especially in time for this month's theme which is about creating a scenery with our stamps and papers.
You may have just come from the very beautiful and talented Denita or started here, either way sit back, relax and enjoy.

I could not help myself (and only just re - read the brief) I have used products from the new Annual Catalogue. The brief was to use products from the CURRENT CATTIES!! OOOppps. I am very sorry guys.

I have used the new Zoo Crew Suite which is just adorable! I do love little animals and cute ones at that. This first project is showcasing some of the animals I die cut from the Zoo Crew Series Designer Paper, how easy is that? No stamping or even colouring in. I did fussy cut the piggy but there are a lot of dies that match some of the images on the pages. This means you can use the dies from the bundle to cut out quite a few animals.

I also used a few of the new & returning colours....Lemon Lime Twist & Berry Burst can be seen here. I used the Blending Brushes to add colour to the die cut forest background which is from the Grassy Grove Bundle...which is carrying over into the new Catalogue.

Zany Zoo & Grassy Grove Bundles ®Stampin'Up!

I also used Copper Clay & Lemon Lolly which are both new colours in the refresh collection. You can see all the new colours HERE.
The sentiment is embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock and the balloons have been cut with the dies from Zany Zoo Dies, and a bit of Linen Thread has been attached to them.
The background green is Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock that has been inked around the outer edges with the same colour.

My second project was this fun Double Z Fold. I pretty much used the same colours to shade the background and also cut out more of those adorable critters from the Zoo Crew Designer Paper.

A little glimpse of the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper ®Stampin'Up!
What I love bout this paper is the back side is all Black & White!

I also embossed with the White Embossing Powder again onto some Basic Black Cardstock for the sentiments. I did colour the Lion image in a little with my Stampin' Blends.

It is such a busy card, so full of animals and colour that I had to create a back page for my message! (I guess I would probably do that anyway, but I just couldn't help myself...and had to colour that too)!lol
You may notice that I flicked water droplets over the blended ink with my Water Painter Brush. I do this a lot because I just love the finished effect.

You may notice some dark brown dots here and there - that is Early Espresso Ink and another new stamp set from Beauty of the Deep. I really love it when a set includes random dotty images, they are so handy for adding interest to a background.

Here is a birds eye view of the card. Can you see the cute little Sloth in there?

The cute pine trees were die cut from the Zoo Crew Dies and I brushed some Old Olive Ink over them. All the other bits of green foliage is die cut from the new Lazy Days Dies.

With more time, I could have made a few more designs using all these critters and wonderful colours...it's interesting see how they all blend together. The second (top) project I have done more of a rainbow effect with the colours and the first project (bottom) I sort of just mixed the colours into each other as I was trying for a bit of a brown woodland effect. (Not sure that worked out)!

This is a little view of the base parts of the card - colours I used were - Lemon Lime Twist (returning colour), Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath (new colour) & Melon Mambo.

I haven't mentioned that sweet set of curtains on the stage that the koala is standing on. They area also from the Zany Zoo Dies - I shaded them with Calypso Coral Ink.
Well, that's all for now, but please keep hopping to see everyone's wonderful work!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I do hope you have gained some inspiration from our projects and get some crafting time in for yourself.
