I am Sharni Haines from South Australia. Welcome to our monthly Sunday Stamping Blog Hop. We get together every 3rd Sunday of the month to share our projects and ideas with you. This month's theme is Stocking Stuffers.
I have made something thst I have wanted to create fr a long time...an altered clock! As you can see from the photograph above, I have turned an normal alarm clock into a Christmas themed ornament.
The first thing you need to do is open the clock and remove all the working parts and mechanics. I was fortunate to have my father do this for me - as I had 19 to pull apart!
This was a project I designed for my team to make yesterday at our annual Christmas Team Party.
We used the Traditions of Saint Nick 12x12" Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive - this means you can only buy it in the online store), for the Santa and trees images.

The clocks were painted with a diluted wood glue and water mix, then dipped in some fake snow I found at the cheap store.
While we allowed the clocks to dry for a bit, the rest of the images and stamping was done.

You may be able to see the red santa, a moouse that has been stamped with a script (both products retired), and the background stamping also from a mix of retired stamps made to look vinatge. I used Very Vanilla Cardstock and ined the edges with Early Espresso.
The fake folliage was found in a cheap store as well as the red bells.
The ribbon is from the current Set-Dec 2023 Mini Catalogue - Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon.
the white circle rounds were cut from my Circle Dies (retired) but you can trace them from any round household item such as a plate. Or even try out the current Deckled Circles Dies.
This project was so much fun and can be any theme really, but if you have any Christmas papers and stamps, your imagination is your limit.
I enjoyed making this altered clock so much, that I'd like to create another one!
As for a stocking stuffer...this project could be given completed or as a kit to the receipent so they could make it themselves! Be sure to check out the video if you have any questions about the products or technique I used to put this creation all together.
