Hello lovelies, yes Valentine's Day has long gone...but my memories of such a fun day still linger and then I remembered that I didn't post anything about it here! I held a Card Class followed by what I would call a 'lush' morning tea and it was a lovely day.
A floral greeting for my ladies.
Everyone decorated a Sweet Cup and filled it with Chocolates. I used Champagne Foil for the rim of the lid and embossed the heart tag with Silver Embossing Powder. The base of the cup was covered with Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. I used two ribbons to tie the whole cup together ( Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon & Petal Pink/Whisper White Variegated Ribbon.)
Everyone put this sweet envelope/card together and slipped in a chocolate bar into the front pocket. These are a free product from Sale-A-Bration, the Precious Parcel Card Kit and there are so many fun uses for them. I'm holding a class soon creating a mini album with them, so keep your eye out !
The inside was stamped with a little message and some foliage.
We also made some cards - my favourite one was this window style with all the cute critters from Hey Love. I sponged the background with Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove and Coastal Cabana. Then mounted a top piece of Whisper White on top that had 3 rectangles cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
I coloured in some Heart Epoxy Droplets with coordinating colours in the Blends and stuck them onto the card. As some of you may have noticed, Basic Grey is my new 'Black' that I like to stamp with for the sentiments.
To get the triangles to all fit onto my cardstock, I placed 3 different sizes onto the paper and cut them at the same time.
After all the crafting was done, everyone retired to the dining room where morning tea was set up. I made these cards for everyone, they served as a placing card as well as a thank you message inside.
My beautiful ladies busy at work...wearing their pearls, diamonds and furs.
I had a special guest ...my Auntie Glenda (pink scarf ) who traveled down from Queensland (I'm in South Australia a few days away) to attend a few of my classes during her holiday. What a lovely time I had with her too.
My lovely class!
The morning tea I created ready for my ladies.
As a small gift to everyone, I made these cute little pillow gifts. They are wrapped with a piece of All My Love 12" X 12") Designer Paper. A bit cheeky with the scaly criter on top. Being Australians, we would naturally call him a crocodile .....but then decided he was most likely considered to be an alligator!
The boxes are Kraft Pillow Boxes and so handy for a quick gift. The white oval was cut from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
These were placed on the dining table at each placing as a little surprise.
My lovely friend Kelly made these delicious shortbread biscuits as a surprise to share with everyone, so kind and thoughtful, especially since she has a little baby to keep her busy! Amazing lady. One day I might be lucky enough to get her secret recipe!! (But I will never be able to decorate as good as she can).
Thank you gorgeous Kelly! xxx
There's Kelly holding her drink with sunglasses on her head. Standing is the beautiful Mrs Michelle S and her sweet daughter Madi.
Just to make everyone feel a little extra special for Valentine's Day, I cut Hydrangea Posies for everyone to take home.
A big thank you to everyone who came and supported my little business and to my mum, Auntie, Mrs. Michelle S and my daughter Sapphire who all assisted me with this fab event. I wouldn't be here without you. xxx
Loves and hugs,
Sharni. x
Here is what I used for my projects...
