Tea Anyone?

Writer's picture: Sharni HainesSharni Haines

Hello lovelies, some people love coffee and some people love tea. Which one are you? (unless it's neither!) I am a tea girl through and through. I drink all types of tea but my favourite is Chai. My daughter and I have a cupboard full of divine loose leaf flavors, but for everyday it's the trusty old tea bag.

When I saw this new stamp set Tea Together from the Occasions Catalogue ( and the Dies from Sale-A-Bration Catalogue), it spoke to me immediately.

Tea Together Stamp Set

As many of you know I do love a tea party! And if you have been to one of mine, then you know I love to entertain, with lots of tea of course as well as all the trimmings that go with tea...finger sandwiches, little pastries, cakes and such.

So, as you can see, this set was perfect for me!

Tea Together Stamp Set with Petal Promenade DSP

I stamped the lovely DSP Petal Promenade from the Annual Catalogue with Basic Grey and cut the images out with the Tea Time Framelits Dies that come free when you spend $180 or more during Sale-A-Bration.

The card base is Thick Whisper White ( I always use thick for my bases now) then a layer of Petal Pink Cardstock, a layer of Basic Grey and a top layer of Whisper White. This top layer was embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder . Ijust love that slightly distressed finish it leaves on the paper.

I stamped the little saying out a few times with Basic Grey, then cut up all the words and glued them around the edge of the card. Yes! I did use tweezers, ha ha. But I loved the effect so it was worth it. I'm not sure if this will be a card in my upcoming classes...because my ladies will kill me with all that fussy work!

The words pouring out of the tea pot have been mounted on Dimensionals. The sweet ribbon is from the Occasions Catalogue Petal Pink/Whisper White Variegated Ribbon. It's a lovely colour and easy to work with, I've tied it around the handle of the teaPot.

Inside the card ( no photo sorry!) is a greeting Happy Mother's Day! but really, you could say lots of other things for other occasions.

The tea cup and pot are also mounted up on Dimensionals.

Well that's it for now, I hope you enjoyed my little share. Thank you for visiting and enjoy your day!

Loves and hugs,

Sharni.x
