Hello lovelies I hope you are well? I've been working in my garden and enjoying the feeling of Spring in the air - the bird song in the early hours, the new buds forming everywhere I look, the blossoms on my Pear Trees it's just a wonderful time of the year. Even though where I live has quite high rainfall in the winter, it can get quite dry here during the summer. We are by no means considered a tropical zone... but the Tropical Chic Stamp Set has got me in a very green mood!
I have used the very soft Mint Macaron Cardstock to coordinate with the cute polka dot paper from the Subtles 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper. The die cut leaves are Balmy Blue Cardstock.
There are two ribbons - Very Vanilla Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon & the Braided Linen Trim both are neutral and help keep things soft.
The tiny flower is stamped in Mint Macaron Ink and mounted on a dimensional.
You may not see it easily but I have used the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on Whisper White which sits on top of the card base for a little textured interest.
And of course, my favourite embellishment... the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls!
This card was so quick to make but I love the effect from the Die cut that comes with the Tropical Chic Bundle. I have put a peice of the Tropical Escape 6" X 6"Designer Series Paper in behind for a splash of colour.
Another fun and quick card ( I know....this doesn't sound like me does it?) You may notice that the leaves are a mix of greens. I achieved this look by using (first time ever!) the Uninked Spectrum Pad and wow! I am planning a fun class with this baby. I Just added 5 green inks from the ink refills to the empty ink canister and stamped away.
The last card I used Granny Apple Green as a base and stamped the leaves in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. The background is from the Tropical Escape DSP.
There you have 4 very different cards using the same Tropical Chic Stamp Bundle with all very interesting finishes.
Hopefully this has given you a smile and some inspiration to get your Tropical
Chic on!
These are the items I used today......
